Rediscovering India - Some Sad Truths
Dear magnificient Aatmans, Time to imbibe more of my amateurish attempts in poetry. For some reason , I seem to have gotten a predilection for using poetry to express my thots. Kindly adjust with this habbit of mine:) O young men and women of Bharatha Varsa, the land made pure by the foots of thousand noble souls Alas,What has become of Thou Intelligence? Oblivious and Smothered relentlessly With doses of sweet poison O young men and women of Bharatha Varsa, the Vaikunta Of Earth Alas, What has become of Thou Grace? Obliviously becomming sub-human Thou Act, Without the slightest bit of pithy O young men and women of Bharatha Varsa, the land of thousand holy rivers Alas, What has become of Thou holyness? Thou senses,Willfully imbibing loads of Noise instead of all that is holy Hapiness, Thou seeketh. (lol) O teachers and scholars of Bharatha Varsa, the land of countless spiritual Gurus, Alas, What has become of Thou Greatness? Swallowed by an Ocean of Greed, Seeketh thou Wealth and Fame Character Not , thou instill in young minds UPDATE O great young Souls of Bharatha Varsa, Ressurect from the dark dungeons Seeketh the Glory Of the Lord and his Aatman Seeketh SatSang with the great Sages that glorious Land will take a re-birth UPDATE 2 A Tamil Song by Sethumadhava Rao on the death of Mahatma Gandhiji In the song Shanthi Nilava Vendum , he says "Shaanthi Nilava Vendum, Aatma Shakthi Onga Vendum Gaandhi Mahaathma Kattalai Adhuvey" Translation "May the world be in Peace May the power of Aatman be on the high, That is Mahathma Gandhis' Wish and Order" When we look at the current state of India as a whole (forget abt the World), one can clearly observe the lack of peace. If the realization of Aatman has been given more importance by the learned (in particular Brahmins) and the literate citizens (forget about others), I'm sure that India could be in tremendous shape. Alas, it could not be so. People have given up to the power of Kali or should I say Kali has taken over peoples minds. Avan Arivan (HE WILL ONLY KNOW) The above voiced opinions are to be considerd only in a holistic sense as I have only mentioned "young men and women of ". They don't refer to any particular individual or group. SRI SRIMANNARAYANAARPANAM RAMA LAKSHMANA JANAKI , JAI BOLO HANUMAN KI |

A nice poem Krishna. I can only appreciate your deep concern for our fellow people. The beauty of spirituality is that it brings selflessness among the people who follow it. This is different from any other aspirations. Its high time the world starts realizing the greatness of Sanathana Dharma. And your post is a great attempt on the way.
Dear Kasthuri
Many Thanks.
As rightly pointed out by you "spirituality instills selflessness" but only a selected few crave for that. The others are like "I want this, I want that," Whats in it for me? :)..one should try their best to totally incinerate the false I and and then reach God. Very few people realize this as the ultimate and the only goal of our life as HUMANS in here. This opportunity is not there for animals or anyother entity .. yet we seem to be ignotant of it and live NATURALLY like animals. For knowing something beyond nature , One should definitely overcome the naatures maaya..
All I and wonderful people like you are doing is to reiterate what our glorious past has to offer so that as many people could be benrfited. What other greater service to the humanity one can do?
Let Krishna-vaasudeva give us the time and energy to steer forward our s ans others life towards him.
Hare Sri Krishna
